\nAs you know, our nation had to pay supreme sacrifice on February 21, 1952 to earn the right to speak in our mother tongue \u2013 Bangla. This sacrifice is solemnly remembered by all Bangladeshis worldwide with deep respect and sadness. UNESCO also duly recognized this struggle and declared this day to observe worldwide as International Mother Language Day.

\nBDCANS will organize a workshop on \u201cInternational Mother Language Day 2018: Challenges and Opportunities in Promoting Mother Languages\u201d commemorating this event in Nova Scotia. There will be interactive presentations on the workshop theme and cultural displays highlighting the historical background of this event. Please find below the time and place:<\/span><\/p>\n
