Dear Community Members,<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
BDCANS Council meeting held on December 25, 2020 elected three members: Ahsan Habib, Abdullah Mofarrah and Md Golam Kibria Talukder to conduct election process for the Association for the next two years term (January 2021- December 2022). We are seeking nominations for five Council Members, five members for the Advisory Panel and members for the BDCANS Outreach Committee.<\/span><\/div>\n
The call for nomination is being sent to the members of the BDCANS as per following guidelines:<\/span><\/div>\n
(1) Deadline to submit the nomination:\u00a0Saturday,<\/b>\u00a0Jan 16, 2021<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
(2) Please send the nomination BDCANS Nominations – Google Forms:-

(3) A member can submit self-nomination or can nominate another individual. The nomination should include<\/span><\/div>\n
(a) Name of the Nominee:
\n(b) For which council\/committee you are nominating the individual for?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
(c) Brief highlights of the candidate and his\/her contributions to BDCANS objectives and activities:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
(4) Election date is on\u00a0Saturday,<\/b>\u00a0Jan 23, 2021.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
(5) AGM and Handover of the charge to the new council will be on\u00a0Saturday<\/b>,\u00a0Jan 30, 2021<\/b>;<\/span><\/div>\n
Further updates in this regard will be announced upon receiving the nominations. Your cooperation in forming a dynamic Council\/Committees for the next two years term would be highly appreciated.<\/span><\/div>\n

Brief descriptions of the positions are given below:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

1) BDCANS COUNCIL (FIVE MEMBERS)<\/span><\/h4>\n
The members of the BDCANS Council plan, manage implement programs and general activities of the Association, and shall execute policy decisions as approved in members\u2019 meetings. They will serve as the officers for the following portfolios: a) Chairperson; b) Member (Secretariate); c) Member (Finance); d) Member (Cultural Affairs); and e) Member (Sports and Social Affairs). The nominee should be a member of BDCANS and should demonstrate contributions to the Association.<\/span><\/div>\n

2) BDCANS OUTREACH PANEL COMMITTEES (10-15 MEMBERS)<\/span><\/h4>\n
The members of the outreach committee form different working groups to carry out different programs and activities of the society. Notable committees include: cultural committee, sports committee, advancement and communication committee, community and newcomers service and finance committee. The nominees for the Outreach Committees should be willing to be a contributing member of the Association.<\/span><\/div>\n

3) BDCANS ADVISORY PANEL (MAX FIVE MEMBERS)<\/span><\/h4>\n
The members of the advisory panel shall provide expert advice to advance the vision, mission and objectives of the Association. The nominee should be a member of BDCANS who have demonstrated significant contributions for the Association.<\/span><\/div>\n
