Our organization aims to preserve and promote the unique Bangladeshi culture and enhance positive social interaction through support for newcomers, training, and various cultural events throughout the year.
Bangladesh Community Association of Nova Scotia (BDCANS) is a voluntary, non-political and non-profit organization. The main goal of this organization is to preserve and promote the unique Bangladeshi culture in the midst of multicultural societies in Nova Scotia, Canada. In addition, the association will work towards the enhancement of positive social interaction among Bangladeshis residing in Nova Scotia. BDCANS will also play an important role to demonstrate social and cultural values to Bangladeshi kids and youths.

Community Events
BDCANS hosts a number of events throughout the year. These include but are not limited to; International Mother Language Day, Boishakhi (Bengali New Year), and Eid Carnival.
Health Equity Project
It is our great pleasure to share with you that BDCANS has been engaged in a community-based working group to support the collection of race-based data in the health system.
