Bangla School
Learning mother language is vital for children to enjoy quality education and to improve overall learning outcomes. The first initiative of BDCANS was Halifax Bangla School started in July 2017 to teach mother tongue Bengali to our community children. Apart from offering curriculum classes, the school also invested in arranging for a day trip to the Natural History Museum to explore and learn more about natural sciences. The acitivity was accompanied with learning the Bengali names for various species and more about their existence. The Bangla School Team intends to continue hosting more engaging events in the future to keep students and staff driven to share the bond within the community and beyond.
